into the evening, veronica and doug will be here. since you went to bed, we've had three track updates. i'm going to show you the very latest one. right now it is north of the bahamas, packing winds of 80 miles an hour. category 1 hurricane maintaining that strength today off of florida. taking a bit of a turn toward the northeast following the gulfstream. then unfortunately, this is the very latest track. this is as of wednesday a position here. it does look like it's going to come our way here and feeling the effects of it beginning sunday. then it's going to slow ray down as it gets inland. then it's just going to kind of sit here and spin away with gusty winds and gusts of rain, and that extended period, unfortunately, is going to bring us big problems. this is the timing. sunday this is the red zone of potential strong winds and heavy rain. it it does look like southern maryland, lower eastern shore, southeastern virginia. then sunday evening, that risk zone of the high impact zone coming right over our metro area. most of virginia, most of maryland being affected as it do
